What is SellEdge and who is behind it?
SellEdge.com is an online store and community. We focus on selling cool products at a cheap price with super fast shipping. You can also check out the SellEdge Playground, and discuss our products, shipping, prices, and even poke fun at the two geeks who run it!
Ok fine, so you two are geeks, but do you have any credibility?
Of course we do! eBay! eBay! eBay! Just to give ourselves a little jump start, we posted up a few items, gained a bit of positive feedback, made those people happy, all in order to win your hearts over! If that's not going out on a limb, we don't know what is. Click here to view our eBay Feedback.
I see only one featured item, are there more?
A featured item is randomly generated every time the home page is refreshed. So if you don't see the item you wish, just keep refreshing the window until you do! Its kind of like winning the lottery, but not really.
How often do you put up new products / items?
We are always sourcing out new products everyday to add onto the site. As soon as we have them physically in our possession, we add the product to inventory which in turn gets updated on our website. Product sourcing could have been a whole lot easier if there was a special magical elf workshop that produces these products at a cheap price.
I missed an item you had posted on the site and it's not there anymore, can I still get one?
Sure, just let us know which item it is and we'll phone the special magical elf workshop to produce more of them! Unfortunately, No. Each product that is no longer listed on the website has been sold out. That's that. Period. We may get more at a later date if we're lucky, but we offer no guarantees, we allow no backorders, and we have no waiting/notification lists.
I want to talk to a live person there, can I call you?
Sure! We're all up to date on the latest technology at our office! We have a phone, so if you have a phone as well, you can call us on our phone and we can speak to each other on the phone! Sometimes during the month, we even sell phones! However, we would prefer if you just emailed us or clicked the "live help" icon on the main page. This saves us time so we can get everyone's order completed in a timely fashion. One second, our phone is ringing…
Will I receive customer support like I'm used to?
That depends on what you are use to, isn't it? We try our hardest to answer your questions as quickly and intelligently (sometimes difficult for us) as possible. Customer satisfaction is our number one priority. Then again, if you have nothing nice to say, don't say it at all.
How do I return a defective product?
Think of this like a reality TV show. You only have 7 days from receiving the item to return it. If we get it on the 8th day, your time ran out and Jack Bauer is dead. Shipping costs back to us are on your tab. Depending on the item in question, and based upon stock, we may give you a replacement, or a refund. Every situation is unique however, and there is no set policy for return items.
Will SellEdge ever tell us how many units remain available on a given item?
Ever is a long time, and no one can ever say never to ever. But it's unlikely, so if you don't see the item anymore, you aren't going to get one.
What is with the "I Want One" button?
If you want one, click it and find out! Oh, and it works best if you have funds in your PayPal account.
Ordering
How do I create a SellEdge account?
Scroll up to the top of this page where it says "Hi. Are you new?" Click "Start here." You will need to supply a valid email address, a password of your choice, and a unique community nickname by which you will be known. Then click on the "continue" button and your account is ready for buying products and using the forums. If you plan to buy, you can add your credit card and shipping info to your account here. You can also add or change it later by clicking on "My Account." Only one account per email address and credit card number is allowed.
What payment options do I have?
You can pay for your orders using Paypal. We do not accept checks, money orders, blood diamonds, or brand new Nike Air Jordans.
What are my shipping options?
We ship using UPS, due to the fact that our guy on a horse just gave us his two weeks notice. We have a shipping calculator that you can enter your postal code/zip code into to determine the cost of shipping, at any of the offered UPS levels of service. The shipping calculator saves us a lot of time as our guy on a horse never could add properly.
How can I track my order?
Through new fangled technology called email, you will receive a tracking number. If you have a SellEdge account, you can just log in and get it there, and see your 5 most recent shipments with a link to all priors before those! Wow, we know, this whole internet thing is just crazy.
Do you ship internationally?
Why yes, yes we do! When we had our guy on a horse though, we didn't. Apparently horses don't swim to well.
I'll take them all, what is my discount?
I have no idea, you will have to talk to Bob in sales about that. Ha just kidding, give us a call or email us if you are interested in wholesale opportunities. Maybe we could work something out, just not with brand new Nike Air Jordan's.
SellEdge Playground
What is the SellEdge Playground?
The SellEdge Playground is a community section of our site which features public forums. This is where we encourage everyone to post their comments, opinions, experiences, and share technical knowledge about each of our items. Does one of the items suck so bad that they should all be ritualistically burned en masse? Or perhaps a product rocks SO hard that everyone should sell their house, forget their past life, and buy a few of these up? You get the idea. "News" will carry announcements of new developments within the company, links to media pieces about SellEdge.com, that sort of thing. "Contests" is where our weekly contests will live, logically enough. And "Everything Else" is wide-open. This will be the only forum where users can start new topic discussions.
What's with the Blog?
Here, in the popular web log format, you'll find our daily items along with articles and links of interest to all our special little SellEdge.com things out there. Look for this section of the site to turn into quite the content carnival over the coming weeks. If you click on "comments" below a blog entry, you'll wind up at the forum discussion topic for that post.
How do I use the message board?
First, you will need a keyboard. Then you need a SellEdge.com account, which you can easily create by clicking "Start Here" or "My Account." Once you're all logged in, simply go to "The Community," click on the forum and topic in question, and then click on "Reply" or (in the Everything Else forum) "Post." Feel free to let it fly, just keep it PG-13.
Which SellEdge.com staff people use the message boards?
We'll tell you, but you have to promise not to stalk us. As indicated by the fetching "SellEdge.com Staff Member" forum avatar, Snapster, Dave Bug, Luke Duff, Big D, Jason Toon, Solais, and Agnew are the real live SellEdge.com employees that you can rub e-shoulders with on the community boards. We've also recruited a few volunteer moderators and tagged them with a similar graphic. And any post by Administrator is official SellEdge.com bidness, too. Beware anybody else who seems to speak for us.
What is not allowed in the community?
First, the usual disclaimer - we're not responsible for the content of any user- submitted post in our community. In practice, we'll try to enforce some simple guidelines below. We want good and bad feedback and will not defend ourselves by means of censorship.
- Do not post personal information such as addresses, phone numbers, etc.
- Do not post any advertising to which you are related or stand to profit from the referral. (This means any reference to another site must be on topic, such as a lower price found, a product review, articles of particular interest to SellEdge.com items, etc.)
- Do not post fake reviews (good or bad) of a product you have not physically used or seen used firsthand. Feel free to post what you've heard, just try to be clear and upfront about it.
- Do not post anything that isn't safe for work, or safe for kids. Again, think PG-13. We're sure you're aware that there are plenty of forums on the web that would love to have your smut. This is not one of them, and we'll enforce it. Complain about it too much and we'll tell your grandma what a sicko you are.
- Do not include any graphics in your signature that are larger than 5K in filesize, or in any other way obnoxious.
- We know spamming and forum vandalism when we see it. We will enjoy ruthlessly destroying it. So bring it, chumps! Bring it!
The Company
Where are you guys located?
We are located just outside of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. In a little town called Richmond Hill. We decided to go global because we already sold ipods, PDA's and other random gadgets to the whole population of Richmond Hill. Plus, we love meeting new people from all over!
Do you have a privacy policy?

Can I work for SellEdge?
If by work you mean get coffee, and by salary you mean nothing, then SURE! At this time we are not looking for anymore employees, the staff in the back keeps us entertained for now. So until it's time to purge them, we aren't accepting resumes.
